“The Miracle of One Child: A Birthday Reflection”
By Dr. Carmel Dekel Wiseman
Birthdays are often a time for celebration and reflection. As mine approaches this Monday, I find myself thinking not only of the life I’ve lived, but of the lives I’ve dedicated myself to nurturing—the tiny miracles waiting to be born.
I began my own path toward parenthood with excitement and joy, dreaming of a child I could hold, love, and raise. The journey took me through the highest hopes and the deepest griefs—failed cycles, heartbreaking miscarriages, and countless moments of wondering “Will this ever happen for me?”
My journey didn’t end with a child of my own. But it birthed something just as meaningful: a calling.
Out of my heartbreak came a fierce commitment to walk beside others on this road. I returned to my studies, diving deeper into functional medicine, pediatrics, and environmental health. I founded Fertility Mastermind, became a Certified GrowBaby Practitioner, and made it my mission to offer the kind of support I once longed for—personalized, compassionate, and rooted in science.
One of the most beautiful parts of my work is witnessing the power of one child—the miracle that shifts everything for a family. The child whose conception was once in doubt, now filling a home with laughter and love. That’s the miracle I celebrate this birthday: the miracle of possibility, of hope, and of creating life with intention.
To anyone reading this who is hoping, praying, or trying—know that you are not alone. Your story matters. Your dreams matter. And yes, your miracle is possible.
Here’s to the miracle of creating life—
And to every heart still hoping, I see you. I’m with you. And I believe in your journey.
With love,
Dr. Carmel Dekel Wiseman
